Obedience classes at BROOKWOOD PET RESORT are fun and positive. We believe that the best way to train a dog is to use lots of motivation in the form of positive reinforcement. Your pet needs to enjoy dog training to make progress.

We offer several different levels at our facility:

- Basic Obedience is a five week course that includes the basics:
- Sit
- Stay
- Come
- Down
- Attention getting
- Problem solving
- ... and more
- The fee is $99
- Next class begins Tuesday, May 27th

Beyond Basics is a four week course that builds upon the fundamentals learned in Level I. Although it is geared to help prepare dog and handler towards exhibiting their dog in the obedience ring at the Companion Dog level, it's also a great course to just go a little further with your dog's basic training. We'll work on tricks, attention levels, start some off-leash work and introduce some jumps. Since there are usually two instructors in the room, we can also provide exercises catered to the individual dog's abilities and strengths. An Obedience Level I course is normally a pre-requirement.

- Canine Good Citizen Class is a four week class geared towards preparing your dog to earn their Canine Good Citizen (CGC) certification. Dogs and handlers will work as a team working towards training their dogs to be ambassadors of the canine world. An Obedience Level I course is normally a requirement.
- The fee is $99 and includes CGC manual and testing
- The next class is starting Tuesday, June 3rd

- Agility Classes are five week courses designed to develop the handler's and dog's skill and confidence in performing the various equipment exercises. The Introduction course is geared towards teams that have not used the apparatus before.
